Marriage and Family Therapy - Intern
Deanna is a passionate and dedicated graduate student at Capella University, completing her M.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy. With a B.S. in Psychology, she brings a solid academic foundation and a genuine commitment to helping individuals and couples navigate life's complexities.  Her diverse background includes experience in both the military and the tech industry.

Guided by a collaborative and client-centered approach, she views her clients as the experts of their own lives, working alongside them to co-construct solutions that honor their unique values, goals, and lived experiences.

Drawing on narrative therapy and emotionally focused therapy, Deanna helps clients explore the stories that define their lives, supporting them in reshaping these narratives to reflect resilience, strength, and hope and exploring their emotions and attachment needs. By empowering clients to rewrite their journeys, she fosters self-determination and the discovery of new possibilities.

Deanna is especially passionate about working with BIPOC individuals, the LGBTQIA+ community, couples/partners across diverse relationship dynamics, trauma survivors, those navigating race-based issues, and those experiencing challenges related to sexuality and sexual behavior. Her practice is an inclusive, affirming space where diversity is celebrated and clients from all races, faiths, genders, identities, sexual orientations, consensual relationship dynamics, and unique backgrounds feel welcomed and respected.
